Fire in TEMI

3 days ago the 31 march a fire started on the roof of our stable. It quickly spread inside the stable building and consumed the whole straw stack. Luckily most of the animals were outside the stable at that time except the pig and some chickens that had to be killed because of serious fire injuries.

At the time the fire started, most of the Temi staff members were deployed at other locations and the people present, were panicking and did not know how to handle the situation.

When the workers arrived, they immediately started carrying everything of value that was stored close to the burning house into safety.

About half an hour after the fire started, firefighters and police force arrived at the scene.

The firefighters got the situation quickly under control by spraying water from the river on the connected buildings to keep the flames from spreading there.

We suspect that the fire started because of badly installed electricity cables but we are still investigating.

Christmas Gifts from Socar Oil

Just a few Days before Christmas we received a notice from the Mayor of the Gremi Village that the Socar Oil Company decided to make a Donation to TEMI and that we should be prepared to welcome the director of Socar Kacheti the same day.

A few hours later they turned up with a minibuss filled with a Christmas-tree, a bunch of Christmas presents, a refrigerator and a big Television.

On behalf of the TEMI community, we want to thank Socar Oil for their generous Donation
